A template is a design mold that can be used by multi-functional teams to create banners and videos in minutes.
Rocketium allows your design team to easily create and set up the on-brand banner and video templates in your Campaign account.
Each Workspace in your account will have a specific set of templates set up by your design team.
Click on the 'workspaces' option from the left panel in your dashboard
Click on the workspace that you want to enter
Click on the 'templates' option from the left panel to browse through all the templates available in that workspace
Each template can be present in multiple style options and sizes. Click on the specific Template thumbnail to know more details.
Click on the 'confirm selected styles' button to use the template.
In case a template is available in multiple sizes, you will see a size selection window. Choose the desired aspect ratios and click on the button 'confirm selected sizes' to proceed to the editing experience.
You can search for specific templates by name or tags using the search bar available at the top of the screen. You can use the drop-down at the top of the screen to see only a specific type (image/video) of Templates.
🚀 Create a template
Begin your template with a design output in mind. We are recreating this template.
Note - Importing a PSD template involves a different set of steps as accounted here.
Select a workspace -- New Project -- Image Template
You will notice that all the sizes that you have listed under 'Branding' will be available for selection here
You can choose to set your template in as many of these sizes as you would want to
Next, name your template.
On the left, you can see the options to 'Add elements'. They are images, shapes, and text.
You can upload images, use from your preset media library, import them from the box (or a storage platform of your choice) or upload them from a link
Similarly, you can add shapes when you want them to be editable on the editor
Adding Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) Shapes
Shapes often tend to be SVG files. More so for shapes and illustrations. You can scale or edit an SVG image as required without losing its quality. Owing to the flexibility of such files, there are prerequisites to upload them.
Prepare your file for export with the following settings -
A few pointers about an SVG import
You cannot export a file with 'default' styling. Custom styling is required for the file to be editable.
If you have multiple parts/elements in the SVG, the color styling options will be applied across the SVG. As an alternative, you will have to upload two images and combine them in Rocketium.
If the export settings of your file are not as specified, formatting options such as gradient, color stroke, and width will be disabled and the SVG will behave like an image.
Once ready as specified, the file can be imported like any other -
Click on the + sign within the Add option
Choose the image to upload.
A text box appears when you click on text within the 'Add element' option. You can define the word limit and restrict editing besides styling the words. You can also define Captions, CTA, and descriptions.
Once each level of addition has been made, styling is the next step to create the template.
In our case, the background, as well as the product image and the lines are all images. So we have added everything on the canvas.
